Based in Auckland and with 5 different coastal regions to choose from (1-5 hours travel time), the odds are as good as anywhere in the world to score the best surf. The Far North offers famous Shippies and a raft of adjacent east coast treasures; The Coromandel from Whangamata to Hot Water Beach is a coastline that is up with the best when the conditions are on; The West Coast from Piha south to world renowned Raglan will bring out the best in you; The mighty Taranaki with its wave laden ‘surf highway’ offers an unparalleled variety of stunning beach, point and reef breaks over a 30 kilometre stretch; Gisborne arguably the surf capital of NZ compensates for its location by serving up some of the best point and beach breaks in the country.
